Neenah, Wis., will host stage six of the Major League Fishing Bass Pro Tour June 5-10, 2020. The tour features 80 of the world’s best professional bass anglers, who will fish on Lake Winnebago and nearby waters while in Neenah. Neenah hosted stage eight of the event in 2019, a first for the city.

"We are honored to welcome back the Major League Fishing Bass Pro Tour to the Fox Cities in 2020. During the Bass Pro Tour competition in Neenah in June 2019, the world was able to see the natural beauty and abundant fishing opportunities of Lake Winnebago," Fox Cities Convention and Visitors Bureau (FCCVB) Director of Sports Marketing Matt Ten Haken said. "Additionally, through MLF's one-of-a-kind video coverage, viewers were given a taste of what Neenah and the Fox Cities can offer to visitors. We look forward to working with MLF, 80 of the best anglers in the world and our local community to host an even better event in June 2020."

The MLF Bass Pro Tour is a series of catch-and-release bass fishing tournaments across the country in which the winner is determined by the total weight of their catch. The collection of eight stages begins in February and ends in July. In addition to Neenah, other stages will be hosted in Alabama, Florida, Texas, North Carolina, New York and Vermont.

The event generates an estimated $300,000-plus in direct visitor spending from the anglers, production crew members, spectators and others visiting the Fox Cities for the event, as well as provides extensive national coverage of the tournament and host communities.

“The schedule is stocked with great fisheries and destinations,” MLF Senior Director of Events Michael Mulone said in a press release announcing the tour schedule. “Working with the MLF angler advisory board and these outstanding community hosts, we have built an exciting 2020 schedule that will most benefit our fans.”

Viewers can watch stage eight of the 2019 MLF Bass Pro Tour from Neenah on Sat., Nov. 23 from 6:00 a.m.-8:00 a.m. on Discovery Channel.

Highlights from each stage of the 2020 MLF Bass Pro Tour will air on Discovery Network starting in July 2020 and Sportsman Channel in early 2021.

Additional tournament details, promotions and final schedules are forthcoming. For more information about the MLF Bass Pro Tour 2020 stage in Neenah, contact Matt Ten Haken at mtenhaken@foxcities.org.
