The same year the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball First/Second Rounds took the court at the BMO Harris Bradley Center, now replaced with the state-of-the-art Fiserv Forum arena.USA Fencing has hosted its North American Cup at the Wisconsin Center three times in the past five years and returned in November 2019.

2020 will be another banner year for Milwaukee as it hosts major sporting events that are sure to be a one-of-kind experience for competitors and a winning destination for spectators.

USA Gymnastics 2020 American Cup - USA Gymnastics 2020 American Cup comes to Milwaukee in March. Considered the most prestigious gymnastics competition in the world, the American Cup will visit Milwaukee for the first time March 7 at Fiserv Forum. The event is expected to bring more than 8,000 visitors to Milwaukee for an economic impact of more than $500,000.

It’s no surprise that USA Gymnastics chose Fiserv Forum as its venue. The $500 million arena was completed in late 2018 and is the home of the Milwaukee Bucks. State-of-the art athletic facilities await competitors, while spectators cheer for the panoramic views, premium seating, and eclectic food and beverage options.

USA Triathlon 2020-2021 - The USA Triathlon came to Milwaukee in 2015 and now it returns for two straight years. Milwaukee will host the 2020 and 2021 Toyota USA Triathlon Age Group National Championships. The 2020 event will take place Aug. 7-9 bringing over 13,000 visitors to the city as well as an estimated economic impact of $6 million.

USA Triathlon fits right in on Milwaukee’s lakefront and county parks. Lake Michigan and Milwaukee’s three rivers provide perfect swimming, kayaking, and even surfing. Lakeshore State Park provides sports teams with a plethora of options from running along the trails to competitive diving into Lake Michigan. Bradford Beach also provides access to Lake Michigan and is popular for volleyball tournaments.

Ryder Cup 2020 - The Ryder Cup is considered the Super Bowl of golf, and it heads to Whistling Straits in the Greater Milwaukee area from Sept. 22-27, 2020. Whistling Straits is located about one hour north of Milwaukee, just outside of Sheboygan, Wisconsin. The event is expected to bring up to 50,000 visitors per day to the area for an estimated economic impact of $135 million.

The Milwaukee area – and the entire state of Wisconsin – is considered a golfing sanctuary. Whistling Straits and Erin Hills are no strangers to the limelight and deliver a challenging yet exciting golfing experience. Milwaukee County Parks System has amazing courses for all golfers from beginners to pros.
