New Facility Establishes Game On as Region’s Largest Athletic Performance Resource
Game On will celebrate the grand opening of its new multi-sport center in west Fort Worth, Game On Sports Complex, on Saturday, October 8, 2016, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at 2600 Alemeda Drive.
When coupled with the existing Game On Arena Sports facility in west Fort Worth, Game On is now the largest athletic performance resource in the North Texas region with 190,000 square feet of combined space.
The grand opening festivities will kick off with the official ribbon-cutting ceremony from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. with appearances by Talk Show Host Scott Murray and Fort Worth City Council Member Zim Zimmerman. The ceremony will be followed by a Sports & Wellness Fair with booths featuring Game On’s partners, including Active Spine & Sport Therapy, PRISM, Rally Time Wellness, as well as the top volleyball and basketball clubs from the DFW area.
Game On Sports Complex provides state-of-the-art facilities for several team sports, as well as individual performance training resources. The new facility includes the following:
12 indoor regulation competition volleyball courts, which are convertible to six full-size basketball courts (all in a column-free space)
Eight outdoor regulation sand volleyball courts
Seven pitching/batting cages
A health-oriented dining facility
Two event rooms
An outdoor performance stage
Full-service sporting goods store
First-class Wellness Center
An 11,000-square-foot APEC performance training space to include a 75-yard track and a 25-by-40-yard artificial turf field.
Game On Sports Complex is accessible to the high-growth areas in Tarrant and Parker Counties. The organization anticipates hosting a number of volleyball and basketball leagues, as well as regional tournaments and employs 50 people to serve customers’ needs.
“This new development is the fulfillment of a long-term vision for us to offer athletes of all ages the opportunity to reach their full potential,” said Trevor Armstrong, partner and general manager in Game On Sports Complex. “With the opening of our new facility, we’re able to provide the infrastructure and resources for all sports enthusiasts, serving as the one-stop shop for everything to do with wellness and sports.”
Game On Sports Complex has expanded its services even further through a host of partnerships. APEC, a sports performance training operation based in Tyler, brings its professional athlete-level services to a new location housed within Game On Sports Complex. The complex’s sports wellness area also includes Active Spine & Sport Therapy, Rally Time Wellness and PRISM.
Game On Sports Complex is the second facility owned and managed by Game On. In 2012, the company opened Game On Arena Sports at 251 Settlement Plaza Drive. A 48,000-square-foot indoor sports facility, Game On Arena Sports immediately became a major resource for local athletes and their families, and provided a center for indoor soccer and flag football.
