USA Cycling Southeast Regional Series to be Held in Knoxville

August Event to Showcase State, Regional Talent

USA Cycling’s 2013 Southeast Regional Series comes to Knoxville, Tennessee, from August 17 – 18, 2013.

The event will take place this August in downtown and South Knoxville. The series offers five race weekends over five months’ time, spanning five states: Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, North  Carolina & South Carolina. The Series will highlight state and regional talent by showcasing a downtown criterium paired with a Road Race in downtown and South Knoxville.

Visit Knoxville worked closely with Knox Velo Cycling Club to secure Knoxville as a tour stop, and Jerome Tester, President of Knox Velo believes our community is the perfect destination for the fall event.

“Knox Velo was excited to work with Visit Knoxville and win the opportunity to host the 2013 Southeast Regional Series,” said Tester.  “Knoxville is a great city for leisure cyclers and cycling competitions, and we’re proud to be part of this exciting event!”
