Rocky Top Sports World to Host 2019 AAU 5th Grade Girls Basketball National Championship Tournament

Rocky Top Sports World, managed by The Sports Facilities Management, has been awarded another consecutive year of hosting privilege for the AAU 5th Grade Girls Basketball National Championship July 9th – 14th, 2019. Teams from across the nation will participate in the five-day event including opening ceremonies and team competition.

“Our staff is excited to host the 5th Grade Nationals again at Rocky Top Sports World. In 2018, we proudly welcomed 19 states, including California, Minnesota, Maryland, and New York to Gatlinburg and Sevier County during this event,” commented General Manager Lori Moore.

Teams become eligible through AAU Qualifying Procedures for three divisions based upon playing level. Early bird registration pricing is available through May 1st with a final registration deadline of June 24th. Rocky Top Sports World is also offering discounted hotel and cabin options for registered teams through PSE Event Housing. Early registration will be available on July 9th at the venue with opening ceremonies and pool play following on the 10th.
