The York Revolution has announced the return of one of its most popular events and the date for its 2020 iteration. The team’s fourth annual Pride event will be held on Friday, June 26, 2020, at PeoplesBank Park.

Hosted each year with the support of area LGBTQ organizations like the Keystone Business Alliance, the team’s Pride event remains York’s only equality celebration hosted during National Pride Month.

While details regarding the 2020 event continue to take shape, organizers said they are pleased to make the Pride event one of the first big nights set for the Revolution’s 14th season.

“Our Pride celebration perfectly embodies one of our biggest beliefs,” said Nate Tile, vice president of business development. “We strive to make PeoplesBank Park the most welcoming place in York. Each season’s events are selected to reflect the diverse range of interests, groups, and backgrounds of our fan base, and it is our pleasure to host one of the most prominent celebrations of York’s LGBTQ community during the nation’s celebration of that community.”

Tile added that this year’s event will hold extra significance following word the Keystone Business Alliance has named the Revolution its “Member of the Year.” The Revolution will receive the honor during the LGBT chamber of commerce’s Annual Dinner and Awards Gala on January 24 at the Hilton Harrisburg.
