32nd Anniversary Event Returns - Expects to Attract 2,500 Entries for the Three-Day Event
The Erie Sports Commission is pleased to announce that the 32nd anniversary edition of the Pennsylvania State 8-Ball Pool Tournament will return to the Bayfront Convention Center March 7-9, 2014.
To accommodate the anticipated participant growth, the 2014 tournament will feature 180 tables, which marks the third straight year the event has increased the number of tables available to participants. Players will once again enjoy streamlined procedures that allowed registered players to play unlimited pool with their original entry. In addition, the tournament will provide text messaging for each match with all adult and junior players offered this new “Your Match is Ready Now” feature.
“We are thrilled to provide our participants and patrons with many new and exciting changes to the tournament due to our partnership with Budweiser and the Erie Sports Commission,” said Rod Didion, the Tournament Event Coordinator from Warner Coin Machine.
Internationally-recognized pool artists (TBA) are also scheduled to perform during the state event, sanctioned by the Valley National 8-Ball League Association (VNEA).
This prestigious tournament is open to the public with tickets only $5 per day or $10 for a weekend pass. All tickets are available only at the door.
“This is an outstanding event that has shown tremendous growth due to the time and effort put forth by the staff at Warner Coin,” said Ron Sertz, Executive Director of the ESC. “We’re honored to be involved with the tournament and look forward to another entertaining weekend of pool at the Bayfront Convention Center.”
