Discover Klamath Visitor and Convention Bureau, the official tourism agency for Klamath County, Oregon, is pleased to announce the launch of its new website, RideKlamathRide.com. The site will make it easier for bike enthusiasts to experience some of the Northwest’s best bicycling, in the increasingly popular Klamath region.
“RideKlamathRid.com is a terrific resource for locals and visitors of all ages and levels looking to get more out of their cycling passion,” said Jim Chadderdon, Executive Director of Discover Klamath. “The site offers maps, photos and directions for over 1,000 miles of Oregon road, mountain and gravel grinder routes and trails, plus a whole lot more.”
RideKlamathRide.com features incredible bicycling opportunities in the Klamath region, which spans from Crater Lake National Park to Lava Beds National Monument at the Oregon/California border. The diversity of scenic landscapes, abundant wildlife, lack of traffic on roads/trails, and average of 300 days of sunshine per year, make this region a high desert, mountain, lake and forest wonderland for bike enthusiasts.
Maps on RideKlamathRide.com are both printable, and downloadable to cycling GPS devices. The website also lists cycling events in the region as well as lodging and food options in the area. More than 20 “BFBs” are listed too –businesses that are recognized and certified by the state of Oregon as Bike Friendly Businesses.
Beyond cycling RideKlamathRide.com provides a comprehensive list of attractions, activities and other things to do in the region. The site also includes a resources tab that lists bike shops, bike rental places, local bike clubs and links to other cycling resources such as the state tourism website, Travel Oregon. In addition, RideKlamathRide.com allows visitors to upload their favorite photos and comment in the blog section.
