Jan 14, 2016

The 11th annual Oregon Truffle Festival kicks off with the first anniversary of The Joriad™ North American Truffle Dog Championship in Eugene on January 16, 2016

Truly an original competition in North America, the Joriad™ is a two-day event where nonprofessional truffle dogs of all breeds compete in a qualifying trial to find truffle-scented targets. The winners of the qualifying round then move on to a private field trial where they hunt for actual truffles. Willamette Valley Vineyards will host the Joriad™ Awards Gala on Sunday, January 17.

Guests will get to meet all of the Joriad™ finalists while enjoying small plates featuring Oregon black and white truffles alongside Willamette Valley Vineyard wines. Additional informational and tickets for the Joriad™ are available here: http://www.oregontrufflefestival.com/tickets/the-joriad/.

The Truffle Festival, which spans three weekends in January moves north to Newberg for its second weekend (Jan. 22-24), then returns to Eugene to conclude the festival with its flagship Truffle Dinner, seminars, Eugene Fresh Truffle Marketplace and events (Jan. 29–31).
