The Emerald Valley BMX Track near Autzen Stadium in Eugene just completed a $50,000 renovation to add paved corners, course design changes including a new electronic starting gate, and the addition of a special sealer to stabilize the dirt and control dust.

The track still welcomes riders of all ages and skill levels, but the improvements are designed to appeal to more advanced riders in hopes of attracting large state, regional, and national outdoor BMX events.

The track was built in 1981, and is operated by Emerald Valley BMX, a non-profit organization. This is the largest remodel done to date, and was paid for through revenue received from University of Oregon fans that use the parking lot during home games, along with race fees charged to riders and donations from several local businesses.

Emerald Valley BMX Track is open year-round and is free of charge to the public during daytime hours.
