The Jacksonville-Onslow Sports Commission is proud to announce the dates of the 2020 Race Series. The series began in 2019 with seven races. Those same seven races will make up the series for 2020. The presenting sponsor for 2020 is First Command with additional sponsorship from Ultimate Sports Massage Therapy (USMT). Those participating in the series compete for points that accumulate throughout the year, in hopes of being the top athlete in their category. Participating in at least five races also earns individuals a year-end gift.

The official series kicks off on February 1st but a bonus event has been added on January 25th. As part of the Clean Eatz Fit4U Fitness and Health Expo, there will be the Fabulous 5K $5 Fun Run. Anyone participating in that event will receive 5 bonus points toward their 2020 series points total. The event will be held at the new Sturgeon City Building in Jacksonville. During the expo, discounts toward some of the races will be available as well as plenty of fitness and health vendors, demos and speakers.
