Carolina Field of Honor Dedication Ceremony Set for May 31, 2014

Field Intended To Honor the Service Of the Men and Women of the United States Armed Forces and to Educate Families and Children Who Live in Freedom
A dedication ceremony for the Carolina Field of Honor will be held at Triad Park located at 9652 West Market Street, Kernersville, NC on Saturday, May 31, 2014.  The dedication will begin at 7:00 p.m. State and local elected officials, high ranking military dignitaries and local news personalities are expected to participate in the official program.  The dedication ceremony is free and open to the public.
The Carolina Field of Honor will be a place of remembrance and honor for all who have served our great nation in the Armed Forces.  It will be a permanent reminder of the sacrifice of our service members, a place to reflect on  the freedoms they have secured, and a community's collective way of showing its heartfelt gratitude. 
Funding for the Carolina Field of Honor was made possible by the War Memorial Foundation. The War Memorial Foundation is a non-profit organization with the sole mission of raising funds to preserve the history of the veterans that have served this great Nation and work with the community in preserving the past, present, and future of the Armed Forces legacy. These funds will go to the building or renovations of War Memorial parks, monuments and facilities.
