US Lacrosse announced Hamilton County, Ind., as the site for an expanded US Lacrosse National Championships in July 2016. Grand Park - The Sports Campus at Westfield will host many of the nation’s best U13, U14 and U15 girls’ teams July 19-21 and boys’ teams July 22-24.

Previously a U15 event, the expansion meets demand and will allow youth programs and their families to experience high-level lacrosse in a fun atmosphere. The eighth annual US Lacrosse National Championships will draw as many as 160 teams.

“We are thrilled to team up with Hamilton County Sports Authority to bring lacrosse’s best-run tournament to an outstanding venue at Grand Park,” said Kim Rogers, director of events at US Lacrosse. “The complex is the largest of its kind in the Midwest, and our traveling teams and parents will enjoy the many amenities within and surrounding the park. We would like to thank Sports Indiana for a generous grant to help host the event.”

"The US Lacrosse National Championships is the first national lacrosse event to come to Grand Park and the state of Indiana,” said William Knox, director of Hamilton County Sports Authority. “We see great potential in working with US Lacrosse to continue growing the event. We are extremely proud and thankful for Sports Indiana, a non-profit organization dedicated to advocating for youth sports and economic development in the state of Indiana, as they are providing us a generous grant to put towards the success of this event.”

Teams will qualify for the US Lacrosse National Championships through one of several US Lacrosse Sanctioned Tournaments or a limited number of at-large bids. Teams will compete in one day of pool play to determine seeds for a two-day tournament to determine the national champion. Only 24 teams will earn berths in each U13 and U14 division, and 32 teams will compete in each U15 tournament.

FCA National (Md.) and the Yellow Jackets (N.Y.) are the defending boys’ and girls’ U15 national champions, respectively. For more information, visit uslacrosse.org/nationalchampionships.
