The Boca Raton Bowl, which is scheduled for Tuesday, December 19, will take place at FAU Stadium, located on the campus of Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, for the fourth consecutive year. The game will be televised live on ESPN at 7 p.m. Palm Beach County is one of only 35 communities throughout the United States that hosts an NCAA FBS-sanctioned bowl game.
The Tuesday before Christmas will once again be the day for "Boca’s Biggest Annual Outdoor Party" – the fourth annual Boca Raton Bowl," said Doug Mosley, executive director of the Boca Raton Bowl. "This has become an annual holiday tradition in Palm Beach County."
The 2017 Boca Raton Bowl will have primary tie-ins for teams from Conference USA and the American Athletic Conference for the second year in a row. The team from Conference USA will make its headquarters at the Boca Raton Resort and Spa and the American Athletic Conference team will be at PGA National Resort & Spa in Palm Beach Gardens.
"We are proud that the Boca Raton Bowl is quickly becoming a tradition for Boca Raton, and we are excited about the fourth annual bowl game," said Boca Raton Mayor Susan Haynie. "From the moment the game date is announced, we look forward to finding out which teams will play and we enjoy all of the excitement that comes with their arrival and game day."
The Boca Raton Bowl has built an impressive resume in a short period. During its three-year span, three (3) conference champions have participated. This event represents the largest attended collegiate sports event occurring annually in Palm Beach County.

The Boca Raton Bowl will generate a significant level of media exposure for Palm Beach County. In 2016, the Boca Raton Bowl generated more than $3 million of visitor spending and over 2,000 room nights were tracked. In 2016, over 1.58 million unique households watched the live, first-run broadcast of the Boca Raton Bowl on ESPN. Palm Beach County was presented on national television for more than 3 ½ hours. This game aired a total of four times on the ESPN family of networks with just fewer than 1.9 cumulative households watching. Most impressively, the Boca Raton Bowl ranked as the No. 1-Rated sports programming for its night (December 20, 2016) and No. 11 for overall cable programming.
The Palm Beach County Sports Commission will assist with "Bowl week activities," which begin with the arrival of the participating teams on Friday, Dec. 15. Beach parties for the teams will be organized at the Palm Beach Marriott Singer Island Beach Resort & Spa in Riviera Beach and the Lake Worth Pier. The Boca Raton Bowl Luncheon will be held at the Palm Beach County Convention Center. Pep rallies will take place take place in downtown West Palm Beach and the City of Boca Raton.
The Boca Raton Bowl is one of 13 bowl games owned and operated by ESPN Events, a division of ESPN. In addition to Conference USA and the American Athletic Conference, the bowl has a tie-in with the Mid-American Conference.
