The American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) and the Greater Orlando Sports Commission (GO Sports) have announced the Arnold Palmer Invitational Junior honoring Jim Bell will extend its stay in Orlando for three years through 2022. The tournament was hosted at Arnold Palmer’s Bay Hill Club & Lodge from July 27-30, 2020. Dates for the 2021 and 2022 tournaments will be announced at a later time.

The Arnold Palmer Invitational Junior honoring Jim Bell is a four-day event, featuring 78 of the best boy and girl golfers from around the world competing in a 54-hole stroke play tournament.

AJGA alumni have risen to the top of amateur, collegiate, and professional golf. Former AJGA juniors have compiled more than 900 victories on the PGA and LPGA Tours. AJGA alumni include Rickie Fowler, Sergio Garcia, Dustin Johnson, Phil Mickelson, Patrick Reed, Jordan Spieth, Justin Thomas, Tiger Woods, Paula Creamer, Ariya Jutanugarn, Cristie Kerr, Stacy Lewis, Brittany Lincicome, Anna Nordqvist, Inbee Park and Lexi Thompson.

“The American Junior Golf Association is proud to partner with the Greater Orlando Sports Commission in conjunction with the Arnold Palmer Invitational Junior honoring Jim Bell. The tournament will once again be held at Arnold Palmer’s Bay Hill Club & Lodge and showcase 78 of the best boy and girl golfers in the country,” said Adam Rogers, Regional Director of AJGA Florida. “The AJGA continues to work diligently on providing these platforms for young men and women to showcase their skills for college golf coaches and that mission cannot be fulfilled without partners like GO Sports. We thank them for the support and look forward to growing our impact in the city of Orlando.”

“On behalf of Orange County and Arnold Palmer’s Bay Hill Club & Lodge, we are pleased to welcome back the AJGA and Arnold Palmer Invitational Junior honoring Jim Bell for three more years,” said Jason Siegel, President & CEO of the Greater Orlando Sports Commission. “We look forward to safely returning to play and delivering a tremendous experience for the participating golfers and their families.”

In conjunction with the tournament, the AJGA will raise money for the Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) Grant by hosting a Junior-AM prior to the start of the tournament. The ACE Grant helps junior golfers who have the skill level to play in first class tournaments, but not the financial means. To date, the Arnold Palmer Junior Invitational has provided more than $50,000 in ACE grants to local junior golfers.
