USA Wrestling is pleased to host the 21st Dave Schultz Memorial International Championships, a major international wrestling competition, set for at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The tournament, which began on January 24, runs through the 26.

Founded in 1999, the tournament honors the late Dave Schultz, an Olympic and World champion wrestler from the United States, who was one of the most popular wrestlers in world and recognized as an international ambassador for the sport.

For the 21st Dave Schultz Memorial, USA Wrestling has moved it back to its traditional time of the year, held in late January or early February. The 20th edition of this classic was held in November 2017, but that time frame was only for one year.

For the first time, the tournament will be hosted in the gymnasium in SportsCenter II, which is located one story up from the Bill Farrell Wrestling Center. This facility has held a variety of sports events, including volleyball and basketball. USA Wrestling has hosted other wrestling competitions in this gymnasium, but this is the first time the annual Dave Schultz Memorial International is in that facility.

Top athletes from the United States and other nations, competing in the three Olympic disciplines of men's freestyle, women's freestyle and Greco-Roman, will be showcased during the three days of competition.

Rosters of U.S. and international teams are not currently available, but will be announced at a date closer to the tournament.

Each discipline will be featured over two days of competition. Greco-Roman and women's freestyle will be featured on Thursday, January 24 and Friday, January 25. Men's freestyle action will be held on Friday, January 25 and Saturday, January 26.

There are two important items for athletes and coaches attending the event this year. Coaches who participate at the event must have an annual UWW license, which must be secured in advance. To purchase your license, coaches must contact Jaimie McNab at jmcnab@usawrestling.org with UWW declaration form, digital headshot, copy of passport and credit card information.

Athlete must be aware that weigh-ins in all styles are in scratch weight, in the 10 international weight classes per style. Athletes can register online by clicking here:
