Known for its eye-catching  scenery and gorgeous weather, California has long been a destination for many, including many a rowing team. Next year, the 2018 USRowing Youth National Championships will return to Lake Natoma located near Sacramento, in Rancho Cordova, Calif. USRowing is pleased to announce the event will be hosted by the Sacramento State Aquatic Center, Rancho Cordova Travel and Tourism, and Folsom Tourism Bureau, and will take place June 8-10, 2018.

“USRowing is proud to bring this event back to the West Coast,” said USRowing Senior Events Manager AJ Dominique. “Crews will again experience one of the top venues in the country, which played  host to the 2017 IRAs and 2016 NCAA Rowing Championships. The staff at the Sacramento State Aquatic Center consistently  delivers top-notch  events and the 2018 Youth Nationals won’t be any different.”

Director of Sacramento State Aquatic Center, Brian Dulgar added,“The Sacramento State Aquatic Center, California Department of Parks and Recreation, Rancho Cordova Travel and Tourism, and the Folsom Tourism Bureau, are extremely excited to be the host of the 2018 USRowing Youth National Championships.  Together we look forward to bringing a championship experience to all of the athletes, coaches, families, and spectators. SACREWMENTO here you come!”

Natoma and Rancho Cordova serve as a starting point for many popular Northern California destination vacations. The venue is located approximately 100 miles from both Lake Tahoe and the San Francisco Bay Area. It's also about 125 miles from Yosemite National Park.
