Prestigious Six-Day Tournament Brings 85-100 Teams to Area

ASA Softball is bringing the Western Nationals for the Girls B 10U & 12U divisions to the Placer Valley Area.  The event is six days long, running now through August 3.

The three playing fields that will be used include Maidu Regional Park and Mahany Park in Roseville, and Foskett Park in Lincoln.

This will be a very large tournament, with an estimated 85-100 teams participating.  Pool play began on July 29th and continues today, with double elimination games beginning the 31st and going through August 2nd.  Championship Sunday will be the last day of the tournament on August 3rd.  The tournament also features a skills competition, a gift exchange, and the opening day ceremonies will have plenty of other activities as well.

Placer Valley is excited to be able to host such a large and prestigious tournament, with participating teams coming from all over Northern and Southern California, as well as Oregon, Nevada, Montana, and Hawaii.  The level of competition for the Western Nationals will be at the highest it has ever been.
