College baseball is back at Kino Sports Complex through the month of March.

For the fourth straight year, Tucson Invitational Games is bringing dozens of college baseball teams to Kino Veterans Memorial Stadium and the seven baseball fields at Kino Sports Complex South.

Starting Sunday, March 2, 68 teams from across the country will train and compete through Saturday, March 29.

Team members, coaches, families and fans will be staying at local hotels and visiting local restaurants and attractions.

The teams and their schedules are available on the Tucson Invitational Games website

“This time of the year it is about getting games and getting live looks and this venue provides this plus quality fields," Jeff Brabant, head baseball coach at Miles City Community College, said about last year’s games. “We will be returning for years to come.”

Tucson Invitational Games started in 2002 with fourteen college softball teams. It has hosted more than 400 schools from across the country and in 2011 expanded to include baseball. This year it is bringing 64 college softball teams to Abraham Lincoln Regional Park, 4325 S. Pantano Road, from Saturday, March 1, through Tuesday, March 25.

Kino Sports Complex is the largest venue in Pima County for youth, amateur and professional sports, concerts, and community events. The south baseball complex includes the 11,000-seat Kino Veterans Memorial Stadium, seven full-size fields, three clubhouses and parking. The north soccer complex includes the 2,900-seat North Stadium, which is home to the FC Tucson soccer club, a 1,000-seat North Grandstand field, four additional fields, and a clubhouse with parking.
