Edmonton to Host Under 21 Water Ski World Championships

The 9th Under 21 Water Ski World Championships will be held July 4-7, 2019, at Shalom Park in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

USA Water Ski & Wake Sports has announced the selection of the 2019 U.S. Under 21 Water Ski Team to compete at that event. The six-member team was selected by the American Water Ski Association’s International Activities Committee.

Athletes selected to the 2019 U.S. Under 21 Water Ski Team were: Brooke Baldwin (Winter Garden, Fla.),Anna Gay (Winter Garden, Fla.),Quinn Haines (Avon, Conn.),Kennedy Hansen (Milton, Fla.), Sean Hunter (Dothan, Ala.) and Ben Leutz (Jacksonville, Ill.).

The team members were selected based on a performance criteria established by the International Activities Committee and approved by the American Water Ski Association board of directors.

The 2017 U.S. Under 21 Water Ski Team earned the overall team silver medal and five U.S. water ski athletes combined to win seven medals, including four gold, in respective events at the 2017 Under 21 Water Ski World Championships in Dnipro, Ukraine.

The United States has won the Under 21 world team title in 2003, 2005, 2009, 2011, 2013 and 2015. France won in 2007 and Canada won in 2017.
