Located in North Alabama, Marshall County is home to the state’s largest lake, Lake Guntersville, and modern sports amenities for playing on-and-off the water. The 69,000-acre body of water is home to some of the biggest wins in bass fishing including Hank Cherry’s championship at the 50th Anniversary of the Bassmaster Classic. Lake Guntersville also lays claim to the fastest water in the South. In the 1950’s, top racers came to compete in the National Inboard and Outboard Championships. And, in 1962 Roy Duby set the world straightaway speed record in a piston powered unlimited, which still stands today.

Play under the lights with the lake as a backdrop or at Sand Mountain Park, our newest state-of-the-art facility, featuring turf fields and stadium seating. No matter the game, you can catch it here at Lake Guntersville. We have the perfect place to stay for your next visit. Cabins and campsites, hotels and lakeside homes – plenty of options!

At the end of a competitive day, relax with us. Eat fresh seafood lakeside and enjoy one of our amazing sunsets. Join friends at one of our local sports pubs for a pint of craft beer and delicious wings. Pile into one of the many party rooms at more than a dozen local restaurants and rehash the day’s best plays while grabbing a bite of southern fried.

From luxury hotels to camping under the stars, we have the perfect place for you to relax after the game. If you think Marshall County is like every other water destination now, you won’t when you leave.
