City Gear Signs on as Ticket Outlet for the 2015 Magic City Classic

Largest Black College Football Game in the Country to Take Place October 31

The Magic City Classic presented by Coca-Cola announced today that six City Gear locations will serve as a discount ticket outlet for the 74th annual event.  The largest black college football game in the country will take place at Legion Field on Saturday, October 31st.    

 Fans can visit www.themagiccityclassic.com to find addresses for the participating locations that will sell the $15 general admission discounted tickets, or they are also listed below:

Additionally, reserved tickets are $30, while full-priced general admission tickets are $20 and are still available for purchase online at www.themagiccityclassic.com.  Tickets can also be purchased at Legion Field or ASU and AAMU ticket offices.  As the official discount ticket outlet, fans will only be able to purchase the $15 general admission discounted tickets from the six City Gear locations. 

“We are elated to partner with City Gear as the official discount ticket outlet for this great event in Birmingham,” stated Nicole Hubbard of the Magic City Classic.  “This year’s Classic is shaping up to be one of the most exciting yet and we can’t wait for festivities to kick-off.” 

The Magic City Classic brings fans and celebrities from around the country to watch as Alabama State University and Alabama A&M University battle it out for a potential spot in the SWAC Championship.  Fans can also enjoy the McDonald’s Magic City Classic Parade, which will be broadcasted live on Fox 6 and Bounce TV, along with the Coors Light Tailgate Party throughout the weekend.  Kick-off is at 2:30pm on Saturday, October 31st, and the much-anticipated halftime will feature the Marching Hornets and the Marching Maroon and White.    

Also at halftime, both university presidents will honor this year’s celebrity ambassador, Anthony Anderson. Anderson currently stars on ABC’s hit show “Black-ish”. Additionally, R&B legends Jagged Edge will perform at the post-game concert.  Concert admission is included in the price of a Magic City Classic game ticket.

About the Magic City Classic presented by Coca-Cola: The Magic City Classic presented by Coca-Cola is the largest historically black college and university (HBCU) football game in the country.
