ISSA "SHORE" TOURNAMENTS NEXT - On the September 9-11, 2016 weekend the ISSA will be holding senior tournaments at the shores of Lake Michigan and the Atlantic Ocean.  The ISSA South Shore Championships will be held at Crown Point, IN on September 10 & 11.  This new destination is just inland from the beaches along the south shore of Lake Michigan with all the vacation amenities including some casinos.  The Eastern Shore Championships will be held for the 3rd year at Salisbury and Ocean City, MD and has become one of the ISSA's popular events.  The tournament is played on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and will include over 40 senior teams.  Both tournaments are still open for new entries.  Teams can register with ISSA (no charge) online then enter the tournament online as well.  Any team manager needing assistance entering an ISSA tournament using the online process can call Greg Thomas at 571-220-0158.

ISSA SMOKY MOUNTAIN SENIOR CLASSIC - The Senior Smoky is played at Maryville, TN with satellite fields in Knox County and the City of Knoxville.  The 5th Annual event was played on June 10-12 and reached the available field capacity early .  The ISSA staff will be reaching out to additional communities in the Smoky Mountain Region to look for additional fields that will allow this event to grow.  This event was also a Ring Tournament for 2016 and attracted some of the top rated senior teams in the United States  "going for the gold."  Teams in their various divisions were assigned to the softball fields that were used this year throughout the region and were  shown on the Address of Venues page on the ISSA Website.  Hotel rooms had been blocked near the complexes for the players competing in the event.  This senior tournament has become one of the favorites for the teams around the United States.  The game results and tournament photos are posted on the ISSA Website (same for all ISSA tournaments.)

2016 ISSA WINTER NATIONALS - The Winter Nationals will be played at three locations this year, Virginia Beach, Huntsville, AL and Palm Springs, CA.  These popular "National Championship" tournaments may fill up early....so do not delay reserving a spot in one of these events.  The Winter Nationals at Virginia Beach and at Huntsville will be played on the same weekend, September 30-October 2.  The one at Palm Springs will be held on November 4-6, 2016.  Teams wishing to play should enter the tournament now using the ISSA online entry process.  Teams can enter now to reserve their spot then pay the entry fee later by the published deadline.  These are also ISSA Ring Tournaments where the 1st Place team in each division receives the Championship Rings at the event.  To make this possible teams are encouraged to enter early so the custom design rings can be ordered to allow distribution at the event.

2016 ISSA CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES - This year the ISSA Staff will be holding 24 senior tournaments around the United States.  Seventeen have been completed and most reached capacity early and closed.  Current entries in some of the remaining tournaments this year point to the high probability that they too will close early.  Teams are encouraged to submit the online entry form for all ISSA tournaments in which they plan to play this year.  The new entry registration system allows teams the opportunity to reserve a place in each tournament and submit the entry fee later by the published deadline.  For instance, the 6th ISSA US Open National Championships in October in Myrtle Beach already has over 80 entries.  Anyone needing assistance with the online entry process should contact ISSA's Greg Thomas.  Thanks for playing ISSA.
