ISSA Releases Summer Tournament Schedule

Events to be Held in TN, VA, AL, WV, MO

ISSA (the International Senior Softball Association) has released its summer tournament schedule. Events are as follows:

2014 Smoky Mountain Senior Classic - This exciting senior softball tournament is scheduled to get underway on Friday morning with games scheduled at four parks in the Knoxville area. The schedules for over 140 games will be posted on the ISSA Website and updated with the game scores as the tournament progresses. Fifty (50) teams from throughout the United States have entered the popular event this year.

XIII ISF Senior World Cup - Fifteen softball fields in the Roanoke Valley area will be in play on June 27-29 when an anticipated 80 teams come to town for the World Cup of Senior Softball. The last day for teams to enter the event is Friday, June 6. Teams planning on entering this tournament but have not yet submitted their online entry form should do so today.

ISSA U.S. Southern Championships - Auburn, AL will once again be the site of the Southern Championships. Teams from throughout the southeast will venture to this small college town for some senior softball. All games will be played at the Auburn Softball Complex located along side of Interstate 85 and the Host Hotel, Hampton Inn is situated about 100 feet from the fields. Capacity for the tournament is 40 teams so teams should not delay reserving their spot this year. The tournament date is July 11-13, 2014.

Mountaineer Senior Classic - Morgantown, WV will welcome the senior teams on July 18-20 to the "wild and wonderful" state. This year the entries will include a new team from Colombia, South America. Follow the "country road" to a memorable senior softball experience in the mountains of West Virginia.

2014 ISSA Midwest Championships - This is a first year event for ISSA and we are excited about holding a tournament in the Kansas City area. Most senior teams entering this tournament will be new to ISSA. Team managers can call RB Thomas (571-436-9704) and/or Greg Thomas (571-220-0158) with any questions about playing ISSA Senior Softball. Team managers can register their team with ISSA online (no cost), players can use their drivers license for the ID check-in and teams planning on playing can submit their Online Entry Form now (and mail the entry fee later). The ISSA is looking forward to this new event which will provide the teams in the Midwest an opportunity to play ISSA and also earn a berth to our WTOC in Tampa, FL
