Musco becomes Official Stadium, Complex and Field Lighting Supplier across all league properties

The United Soccer Leagues, LLC, today announced Musco Lighting as the Official Stadium, Complex and Field Lighting Supplier. Musco will be an official supplier for all related properties, including the United Soccer League – one of the most prominent Division II professional leagues in the world – USL’s Division III, the Premier Development League (PDL) and the Super Y League. In addition, Musco will have a presence at the USL’s annual Winter Summit in December.

Musco is a world leader in designing, manufacturing and installing large area lighting systems from Little League® fields to professional sports stadiums across the NFL, MLB, NCAA, English Premier League and MLS.  Most recently, Musco oversaw the installation of an LED system with Total Light Control – TLC for LED™ technology in the Orlando City Stadium, home of Orlando City Soccer Club. Sports venues have specialized needs when it comes to lighting. Musco has helped thousands of partners get the answers they need—from identifying funding resources, to system design, to installation and long-term service.

"Musco Lighting is a proven leader in their space and we are thrilled to welcome them to the USL Preferred Supplier portfolio," said USL President Jake Edwards. "As USL continues to grow and with the upcoming launch of our new Division III league, we are adding new stadiums and training complexes at an unprecedented rate. Musco will be an excellent resource for our clubs to ensure that our facilities are installed with the highest quality lighting systems."

"We are excited to partner with USL and provide our technology and expertise as the league continues to grow at an unprecedented rate," says Jeff Rogers, Vice President of Sales for Musco Lighting. "Our products and services will help the league provide an unmatched entertainment experience for its continuously growing fan base, while providing precise on-field lighting and maximizing energy efficiency."

Over the next five years, the USL will oversee the expansion of an estimated 30–40 new franchises at the second and third divisions of professional soccer, creating numerous opportunities for potential suppliers and vendors to support this growth.

Through its Preferred Supplier Program, the USL will connect suppliers with both new franchise owners and existing USL clubs looking to deliver the best possible experience for fans. Preferred suppliers must meet the USL’s strict quality standards. These are “Best in Class” companies that provide services and products to professional franchises and stadium developers. The USL is currently in discussions with suppliers that support stadium development, as well as the buildout of team front offices and operations.
