Competitive Disc Golfers to Descend Upon Eau Claire

This weekend, Tower Ridge Recreational Area in Eau Claire will host amateur disc golfers from around the Midwest at the WI State Amateur Championships.  Players will compete for the title of Wisconsin Amateur Disc Golf Champion October 12-13.

This event, the first ever Professional Disc Golf Association A-Tier tournament held in Eau Claire, will feature over 50 players in a four-round event slated to begin Saturday morning at 9:30am.  Pool play will continue through Saturday evening.  Play begins again at 8:30am Sunday with final awards taking place at 6:00pm in the Ski Chalet.  Lunch will be available for participants and spectators and admission is $3.00 for an Eau Claire County Parks day pass.

Tower Ridge has two 18-hole championship level disc golf courses on the property with multiple pin and tee-pad locations offering a variety of challenging shot selections.  This course provides the ideal backdrop for a tournament of this caliber and a good test of skill for participants of all levels.
