Dallas Releases Calendar of Sports Events for Summer of 2018

The Dallas Sports Commission has listed its upcoming activities for the summer months ahead.

The AT&T Byron Nelson Golf Tournamenthas moved to the Trinity Forest Golf Club in Dallas. The event will take place on May 17-20 including the Spectator Experience featuring an interactive expo, KidsZone and more.

The AT&T Byron Nelson has raised more than $155 million since its inception in 1968, making it the most financially successful charity event on the PGA TOUR. 

The AT&T Byron Nelson is one of North Texas' biggest sports attractions and most anticipated social events of the spring. Beginning in May 2018, AT&T Byron Nelson will play at Trinity Forest Golf Club in Dallas. Hosted by Salesmanship Club of Dallas, the tournament has been a premier PGA TOUR event and will celebrate its 50th anniversary.

All proceeds benefit Momentous Institute, the nonprofit operated by the Salesmanship Club for over 95 years. The organization serves 6,000 kids and family members directly each year through mental health and education programs, as well as research and training.

The Next Generation Cupis coming to Dallas this month from May 18-20.  This boys youth soccer tournament brings in national and international teams to compete.  It is a family-friendly event including a festival area with music, food, vendors, bounce houses and more. The Missouri Valley Conference Baseball Championshipswill be in Dallas from May 23-26. This double-elimination tournament will be held at Dallas Baptist University. Check out the schedule here.

The Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center will be hosting the USA Volleyball Open National Championships from May 25-30. 

This will be the Open's 89th edition and fifth time in Dallas. Players range in age from 18 to 80-plus with the oldest age division being the Men's 79-and-Over bracket. Click here for event details.

The Dallas Stars have released ticket information for the upcoming 2018 NHL Draft on June 22 & 23 at the American Airlines Center. 

This will be the first time the organization and the city of Dallas will host the event.

The Stars are also hosting a free, all-day country music festival on Victory Plaza on June 22. Visit the Stars' website for important information and details regarding the event. 

FC Barcelona and AS Roma will be competing in Dallas in the International Champions Cup, the summer’s biggest club competition.

Personnel at the Dallas Bike Ride have announced that the event will be back on Saturday, November 3, 2018. Dallas’ only closed-road, car-free, recreational bike ride returns. Learn more at dallassports.org.

The American Junior Golf Associationis a nonprofit organization dedicated to the overall growth and development of young men and women who aspire to earn college scholarships through competitive junior golf.

They have a membership of more than 6,900 kids and notable alumni include Jordan Spieth and Rickie Fowler. Come out and volunteer right here in Dallas at the new Trinity Forest Golf Club.
