NCAA Sets Dates for 2017 Convention

The 2017 NCAA Convention is scheduled for Jan. 18-21 in Nashville, Tennessee.

The Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center will serve as the headquarters hotels for the 2017 NCAA Convention.

The NCAA Convention is attended by members from more than 1,300 NCAA colleges, universities and conferences in all three divisions. During the Convention, members discuss and vote on key issues facing higher education and college athletics.

A highlight of the NCAA Convention is the annual State of the Association address, given by NCAA President Mark Emmert during the Opening Business Session on Thursday, Jan. 19.

The Convention also will feature many Association-wide sessions on a variety of important issues and the presentation of numerous NCAA honors, including the prestigious Theodore Roosevelt and Gerald R. Ford awards. Note: The Honors Celebration will take place Wednesday, Jan. 18.

NCAA governance groups in all three divisions also meet during the Convention.
