In the tradition of all of our other beach sport tournaments, Morey’s Piers is proud to offer you a chance to play Field Hockey in a new and exciting way – on the sand, from July 22-23, 2017. Teams will compete on the beaches of Wildwood and enjoy the waterparks during the day and the famous Wildwood boardwalk and amusements in the evening.
The team registration fee is $830 per team. Beach Hockey offers participants and their families an exclusive discounted weekend package to Morey’s Piers Amusement Rides and Raging Waters and Ocean Oasis Water Parks. Beach Hockey Tournament Summary
Games are 5v5, 4 players on the field plus a goalie, with a maximum of 10 players per team. Games are 25 minutes each with running clock. Fields are 30 yards by 50 yards. Each team will play a minimum of 5 games (weather and unforeseen conditions permitting). Divisions will include: U19 (includes HS Varsity), U16 (includes HS junior varsity), U14, Women’s Open and Co-Ed Open. Beach hockey plays with a rubberized ball which is slightly larger than a regular field hockey ball.
ALL applications will be done online, all payment will be done via credit card online and your credit card will be charged at the time of acceptance. Once you apply, you will receive an email notifying you that your application has been received. This is not acceptance into the tournament. If accepted, you will receive a second email notifying you specifically that you have been accepted and that your credit card has been charged.
Teams are accepted on a first come, first served basis. We strongly recommend you do not make housing reservations until after your team has been accepted.
