Atlantic City Convention Center to Welcome More Than 200 Teams to Compete in the Hoop Group Atlantic City Jam Fest

Hoop Group and the Atlantic City Sports Commission are proud to announce the first annual Atlantic City Jam Fest. More than 200 AAU boys basketball teams and more than 2,000 athletes, ages 13-17 will compete in the tournament. The tournament will be played on 18 courts that will be set up in the Atlantic City Convention Center.  
 
The Hoop Group Atlantic City Jam Fest is a NCAA sanctioned event taking place during the Summer July Evaluation Period. The competition will include the Hoop Group Showcase League championship games showcasing some of the finest AAU teams in the country. Former Hoop Group participants include 128 current NBA players, such as Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and Karl Anthony Towns.

“The Atlantic City Sports Commission is excited to partner with Hoop Group to host the first annual Atlantic City Jam Fest at the Atlantic City Convention Center. This indoor basketball tournament will allow multiple games to be played simultaneously spread throughout the hall,” said Jim Wood, president and CEO of Meet AC and the Atlantic City Sports Commission. “July is the perfect month for families to experience all that Atlantic City has to offer throughout the tournament. This event is another example as to why Atlantic City continues to diversify itself.”
 
Hoop Group and the Atlantic City Sports Commission have reached an agreement for the tournament to return to Atlantic City through 2021.
