Maryland Sports - the Sports Commission for the State of Maryland - is the keystone for sports tourism throughout Maryland, and we do it all; from our TEAM Maryland initiative, to our Youth and Amateur Sports Grant Program, to our partnership in the MAASA collaborative. With over 1,200 sports venues located within a day’s drive of over two-thirds of the U.S. population, there is something for everyone in Maryland. Over the past 7 years, the State of Maryland has pursued over $1 billion in event recruitment activity, securing over $500 million in economic impact, and hosting successful events of all sizes and scope.
