Race is a Qualifying Event for Iditarod, Yukon Quest

Fort Kent, Maine will host the Can-Am Crown Dog Sled Dog Races.

This is the 24th year of this event. The races will be held March 5 - March 8, 2016. There are three races with a total purse of $43,000: a 30-mile race, a 100-mile race, and the well-known 250-mile race. The 250-mile race is a qualifier for the Iditarod and the Yukon Quest.

In order to preserve the high quality of the racing experience at Can-Am Crown, each race will be limited to 30 participants. Bib numbers are assigned according to the Rules.

Applicants will not be considered registered until Can-Am Crown receives the entry form, the musher profile, and the race entry fee. Sending an incomplete packet will result in a slower registration process and possible inability to enter the race because of the cap on entries.

Please refer to the race rules and entry form for further information or feel free to contact one of the Can-Am Crown Directors

In the 24th great year, the organization continues to offer the traditional Canadian-American experience, with mushers and spectators from throughout the United States, Canada, and other countries.
