The Border Battle Tournament, February 23-25, 2018 in Overland Park, Kansas, has already been established and recognized as one of the top spring tournaments in the Midwest.

The tournament, put on by Heartland Soccer Association, is a tradition among teams. It annually attracts ECNL, NPL, State and Regional Champion teams from up to 11 different states. Organizers are anticipating another sell out event in 2018 with teams traveling from all over the Midwest.

Playing Formats:

U8-U10     7 v 7

U11-U12   9 v 9

U13-U19   11 v 11 

Cost:

$550 for 7 v 7 teams

$625 for 9 v 9 teams

$675 for 11 v 11 teams

Scheels Overland Park Soccer Complex: All of these tournaments will be hosted at the Scheels Overland Park Soccer Complex.  This nationally renowned $36 million soccer complex boasts 12 tournament-quality, synthetic turf fields complete with lighting for night play.  Amenities at this world-class complex include FREE parking, three concession buildings, a skate park, and basketball and tennis courts.  Aside from the game fields, the most used areas of the complex are the multiple playgrounds for young fans.

Wyandotte Sporting Fields: Wyandotte Sporting Fields is the newest state of the art soccer complex to open in the Kansas City area. The Wyandotte Sporting Fields are a 52-acre complex featuring four natural grass fields and eight cutting-edge synthetic turf fields that provide a premier, soccer-specific playing surface for all levels of play.

These tournaments are 'stay to play' tournaments.  A condition of acceptance into our Heartland hosted tournaments requires every "out of town" team to utilize one of the sanctioned hotels and book their rooms through Global Connections Inc. (GCI) using their online request system at www.GCITeamTravel.com.

Global Connections has worked closely with the local hotels and has secured the best rates possible for these tournaments.  Outstanding properties will be available at affordable prices.  Various options will also be available to satisfy team needs and all budgetary considerations.  A list of the hotels for each specific tournament can be found online.
