Participants can attend as few or as many days as they can. This is a freestyle and figure camp, with the primary focus on freestyle. It is open to skaters and coaches of all ages and ability. Learn more on what to do in the area at: www.koscvb.org

Freestyle training begins Friday morning and will be all four days. Figure training will begin early Saturday morning and run through Monday morning. Figure training will be a total of 9 hours on floor, with additional class time off floor.

Organizers are currently in the process of obtaining grant funds to hopefully add a choreography and program coach, as well as a judges seminar and meet director class. If this grant is approved, guests will be updated as to the added classes.

So the big question, who are the coaches? The freestyle leader this year is Leonardo Lienhard. Leonardo is a former World Champion, and has served as a National Team Coach for a combined total of 25 years for Italy, Germany and Columbia. After serving Columbia for 5 years, he has returned to Italy and is enjoying assisting the Italian Federation with whatever they ask, and continuing to offer his expertise around the globe as requested. We are excited to welcome Leonardo to our camp this year.

The figure leader this year will once again be Pat Jacques. The figure training will be at the skating rink this year, unlike last year. Pat is an exceptional talent to work with all ages and abilities, and we are thankful for her willingness to return.

The registration fee covers all training, lunches daily at the rink, a banquet party Saturday evening, and a t-shirt. There will also be a no-host dinner on Friday evening at Mad Anthony’s at 7:30pm for any wishing to attend.

A schedule will be provided to registrants as the event gets closer. Please feel free to contact Trace at Eastlakeskate@hotmail.com. Hotel and restaurant information coming soon. Sponsorship opportunities available, please contact Trace if interested.

The host hotel is Wyndham Garden Warsaw. Please call hotel direct at 574-269-2323. Ask for the “Skate Camp” block. Booking direct allows organizers to use unpaid outside agent fees towards rooms for our seminar leaders, so please keep that in mind when booking.
