The 50th Annual Hawaiian Invitational Water Polo Tournament  takes place July 31 - August 5, 2018.

Since its inception in 1968, the Hawaiian Invitational Water Polo Tournament has grown to become one of the largest and most prestigious water polo tournaments in the world. The Hawaiian Invitational also enjoys its standing as the oldest annual international water polo tournament in the world, annually attracting as many as 115 teams from around the world. In the past few years, teams from the Netherlands, New Zealand, Italy, England, Australia, Brazil and Canada have participated in the Hawaiian Invitational.

Tournament participation is open to a wide range of age-group teams:  14 and under, 16 and under, and 18 and under with separate divisions for boys and girls, as well as open divisions for men and women.

Tournament games are held in Olympic-sized, 50-meter pools. The University of Hawai?i, Punahou School, `Iolani School and Kamehameha School pools, all located within a twenty-minute drive of Waikiki, serve as frequent tournament sites.

Teams should expect to play one game per day during the first five days of the tournament. ALL TEAMS MUST PLAY TUESDAY TO ELIMINATION. Those teams that advance in their division will play in a championship match on the last day of the competition, Saturday for 14 and under divisions and Sunday for all other divisions.

The tournament provides practice balls at all venues so that teams are not burdened with having to travel with team balls.

Ample time is available during the tournament for your team to experience the beauty and excitement of O?ahu. From the majestic and secluded beaches of the North Shore, to the tropical rain forests of the Windward Side, to the non-stop action of Waikiki and Downtown Honolulu, there is something for everyone on the island of O?ahu.
