The Mitsubishi Electric Classic will once again return to TPC Sugarloaf in Gwinnett County April 11-17, the week following The Masters which is played in Augusta, Georgia. In this position, the tournament will create a two-week period highlighting premier professional golf associated with the State of Georgia.

The Mitsubishi Electric Classic has announced its next wave of PGA TOUR Champions professionals who have committed to compete in the tournament. This year's tournament field features some of the most accomplished professional golfers in Georgia history, including:

  • Billy Andrade from Atlanta is currently seventh in the Charles Schwab Cup standings after finishing runner-up in the Allianz Championship earlier this season. Andrade won three events in 2015 including the season-ending Charles Schwab Cup Championship.

  • Scott Dunlap of Duluth is seeking his second career win on the PGA TOUR Champions following a top-three finish in the Chubb Classic in February.

  • Augusta native Larry Mize, 1987 Masters winner, looks to add a second victory to his PGA TOUR Champions record.

  • Larry Nelson of Marietta is seeking his 20th win, netting 19 victories in his 21 years on the PGA TOUR Champions.

  • Gene Sauers of Savannah is seeking his first PGA TOUR Champions win after a successful three-win career on the PGA TOUR.

"We're excited to have such a deep and talented field of golfers for this year's tournament," said Stan Hall, executive director of the Mitsubishi Electric Classic. "It's a pleasure to host this event each year at the beautiful TPC Sugarloaf course. And we are proud to have several Georgia golfers participating in the only PGA TOUR Champions event in our state."

"It's an honor and enormous fun for our customers and guests to be a part of such a great tournament that features some of the all-time legends of golf," said Kiyoshi Furukawa, president and CEO of Mitsubishi Electric US. "Mitsubishi Electric is proud to title this event in the State of Georgia and very aware of what it means on so many fronts."

Other notable players in the field include the 2015 Charles Schwab Cup winner Bernhard Langer, a past champion of the tournament, as well as previous tournament winners Olin Browne and Miguel Angel Jimenez.

There are many ways to get involved with the tournament whether it be volunteering, sponsoring, or being a spectator. For more information and tickets, visit www.MitsubishiElectricClassic.com.
