USL Clubs to Gather on Clearwater Beach for 2015 Preparations

USL is heading to Clearwater Beach, Florida for its Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the fourth consecutive year, as its more than 100 clubs will gather at the Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach December 10-14 to prepare for the 2015 seasons and celebrate 2014’s accomplishments.

The annual event draws hundreds of owners, executives and coaches from USL PRO, the PDL and the W-League, as well as influential figures from national and international soccer organizations. This year’s annual gathering will see a large class of new franchises joining the 100-plus existing teams for a combination of business and social activities, including operational, educational and scheduling meetings and annual team and executive awards presentations at the USL Hall of Fame Awards Dinner.

“This year’s AGM will be the most important in our history, as we continue to build a solid foundation for the future of soccer in the U.S.,” USL CEO Alec Papadakis said. “We are embarking on new initiatives that will more closely integrate all of our leagues, and the AGM will be a crucial time for working with our teams to lay the groundwork for a new era for USL.”

The 2014 USL AGM will get underway on Wednesday, December 10 for USL PRO and Thursday, December 11 for W-League and PDL clubs. There will be three a full days of meetings and special seminars including individual league meetings, player registration, broadcast operations, international affiliations, marketing and communications, and social media.

The annual USL Hall of Fame Awards Dinner is set for Friday, December 12 as the teams gather to honor the teams and executives for their performances during 2014 and the induction ceremony for the USL Hall of Fame.  The AGM continues Saturday, December 13 with continued league meetings and scheduling, and closes the morning of Sunday, December 14.
