The Citi Open® Tennis Tournament is proud to announce its impressive list of chefs participating in its first-ever Citi Open Kickoff Party, July 27, from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m., at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center.

The list of award-winning chefs includes: Chef Carlos Delgado of China Chilcano by José Andrés; Chef Victor Albisu of Del Campo and Taco Bamba; Chef Matt Heimbauer of La Puerta Verde, Dock FC, and Ari's Diner; Chef Joe Goetze of Farmers and Distillers; and Chef Jamie Rutherford of Petworth Citizen and Reading Room. The chefs will serve a selection of their award-winning food at the party, as part of the tournament’s partnership with the Restaurant Association of Metropolitan Washington (RAMW).

The Citi Open Kickoff Party is hosted and co-sponsored by TCMA (A Drew Company), the exclusive manager of the historic Reagan Building and Official Sponsor of the Citi Open. TCMA’s catering team, led by Chef Xavier Deshayes, will also be serving summer-inspired bites and cocktails for the event.

“We’re thrilled to be hosting the inaugural Citi Open Kickoff Party,” said John P. Drew, president and CEO of TCMA. “The Citi Open is a long-standing Washington institution that brings together individuals from across the region and draws worldwide attention and world-class tennis players to our city — it reflects our mission at the Reagan Building to serve as the gathering point for our shared community.”

National recording artist and festival favorite MAGIC GIANT will headline the event and perform songs from their debut album.

The event is also co-sponsored by Events DC, the official convention and sports authority for the District of Columbia and Host Sponsor of the Citi Open.

“Events DC is proud to partner with the Citi Open and begin the event week with a celebration on a grand scale,” said Erik A. Moses, senior vice president and managing director of Events DC Sports, Entertainment and Special Events. “As we welcome the athletes, representing more than 26 countries, to the District, as well as thousands of spectators from around the world, the first-ever Kickoff Party is sure to impress featuring an extremely talented band that we all fell in love with during the Events DC Music Showcase at SXSW earlier this year.”

Tickets for general admission to the party with unlimited food and drink are $89. A VIP access ticket, which offers a one-hour early admission, unlimited food and drink, and a meet and greet with MAGIC GIANT, is priced at $119. Both ticket levels will have an option to purchase a $40 reserved seat ticket to any Citi Open session.

Celebrating its 49th edition this summer, the Citi Open Tennis Tournament will be held July 29 – August 6 at the Rock Creek Park Tennis Center. It is one of only 13 elite ATP World Tour 500-level events worldwide and the only one held in the United States. The tournament also represents a WTA International event. Featuring both ATP and WTA players provides fans the opportunity to watch simultaneous competitions of both world-class men’s and women’s tennis throughout the nine-day event. It is one of only five U.S. tournaments that include both men’s and women’s fields. Main draw matches of the tournament will be broadcast starting Monday, July 31, on Tennis Channel.
