The 2018 Colorado Springs Sports Corp Event Schedule includes something for everyone in the Pikes Peak Region and across the Centennial State.

In keeping with a decade-long tradition, the Colorado Springs Sports Corporation will bring an impressive lineup of outstanding events in 2018 to the city that will appeal to a broad range of sports fans and families. The city is known as Olympic City USA, and that title inspires the support, promotion and creation of many events by the Sports Corp.

The event season will come early while fans celebrate with the 2018 PyeongChang Olympic Downtown Celebration on February 9. It is expected to be the largest-attended winter event in downtown Colorado Springs. OPEN and FREE to the public, spectators will enjoy Korean themed music, dance and drumming in addition to Taekwondo demonstrations. Entertainment will include snowmobile jumpers, snowboarding demonstrations, ice climbing, Olympic sport booths, and the Olympic Games Opening Ceremony broadcasted live on a big-screen television. Special guest Olympian and the winningest Winter Olympian in history, Eric Heiden, will be lighting the Olympic City USA cauldron around 5:20 pm to kick off the ceremony.

Returning for the second year, Colorado Springs has once again been named to host Stage 7 of the Mavic Haute Route Rockies on  June 29. This international cycling event is expected to again bring in 400+ cyclists from across the world to ride through some of the most iconic landscapes Colorado has to offer, including Olympic City USA's very own Pikes Peak - America's Mountain.

This spring, the Sports Corp is partnering with USA Boxing to bring the AIBA Youth Continental Boxing Championships to Colorado Springs, May 21-26. This event will bring more than 150 athletes from the North, Central and South American countries to Hotel Elegante to compete and potentially qualify for the 2018 Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires.

The summer will kick off with the high octane, high speed Pikes Peak Airstrip Attack,

June 16-17. This event, hosted in conjunction with our partners Revvolution and Shift-S3ctor, will showcase hundreds of the fastest, most powerful street cars in the nation roar down the Colorado Springs Airport runway in a half-mile, side-by-side roll race and trap speed competition.

July will showcase the 17th annual Rocky Mountain State Games, where more than 10,000 athletes of all ages and skill levels are expected to once again participate in more than 40 sports as a part of Colorado's largest sports festival, July 20-22 & 27-29.

In August, The Broadmoor Pikes Peak Cycling Hill Climb will join the inaugural "Colorado Summit Series" which features some of the toughest hill climbs in the world including the Guanella Pass Hill Climb (June 3) and Bob Cook Memorial Mt. Evans Hill Climb (July 21). This new and unique cycling series will finish with the Pikes Peak Cycling Hill Climb on August 11. In addition to the race, cyclists will enjoy the series award presentation on Pikes Peak - America's Mountain.

We look forward to closing out the summer with our partners Hot Apple Productions and Rainbow Ryders to stage the 42nd Colorado Springs Labor Day Lift Off. More than 150,000 spectators are expected to be there to see nearly 70 hot air balloons take to the skies for one of the community's most beloved and majestic events, September 1-3.
