California Capital Aquatics (CCA) and Placer Valley Tourism are partnering up to bring the Sierra Nevada Swimming Short Course Junior Championship to Roseville on the first weekend in March. This exciting three-day event will be held on March 4-6 at the Roseville Aquatics Complex and is expected to bring more than 650 youth swimmers to Placer Valley.

Both boy and girl swimmers that are registered for Sierra Nevada Swimming are eligible to compete in this USA Swimming sanctioned event in the 8-under, 10-under, 11-12 and 13-14 age groups.

"This meet is similar to what a league champs meet would be like in high school, but only open to swimmers affiliated with our Local Swim Committee (LSC), Sierra Nevada Swimming," explained Alex Oncago, CCA Meed Director.

The short course signifies that the swimmers will be competing on 25 yard lanes. Since the Roseville Aquatics Complex is equipped with 16 lanes for this type of competition and also has a five lane 25-yard pool available for warm-ups it guarantees a smooth running, efficient meet.

Come on down to 3051 Woodcreek Oaks Blvd in Roseville and check out the amazing swimming action on March 4-6.  The first races will start at 9 a.m. each day and concessions will be available for purchase.
