The Alabama's Strongest Man/Woman competition will run August 19-20 beginning at 9:30 a.m. Lifting starts at 9:30am and will go all day at The Hangout in Gulf Shores.

There will be women from 120lbs to men over 300lbs competing in their weight classes to see who will be this year's Alabama's Strongest Man/Woman.

This is the 5th year running the event, which has gone from 14 athletes the first year putting this on to 73 athletes last year.

A registration field of approximately 60 athletes will compete this year.  Athletes will be traveling from all over the south to compete, including those from Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia and Florida.

Each athlete will do five events during the day.  Max axle clean and press (for state record), axle deadlift for max reps in a minute, duck walk medley, sandbag carry for max distance and keg carry and load.

A portion of our proceeds will be going to the family of McKinley Turner who is currently fighting a rare case of childhood brain cancer.
