USA Triathlon Kicks Off National Championship Season with Winter Nationals

The 2013 multisport national championship season gets an early start with the USA Triathlon Winter Triathlon National Championships slated for Sunday at the Powderhound Winter Triathlon in Butte, Mont.

Featuring a 5-kilometer trail run, 10-kilometer bike and 5-kilometer Nordic ski - all on snow - Winter Nationals returns to the Powderhound Winter Triathlon and Homestake Lodge for the second straight year. The race is slated to begin at 10 a.m. Mountain.

A year ago, Mike Wolfe (Helena, Mont.) and Rebecca Dussault (Gunnison, Colo.) were victorious in near-perfect conditions to earn the overall wins at Winter Nationals.
